About this picture I was amazed at the pattern emanating from the center in such a tight bundle.

These “weeds” have just started to grow and are fast. I remember battling these weeds in the pasture “over west” from the farm place. These things will get taller than a man and require a machete to chop down. Big purple blue flowers in the heat of mid summer – and silvery green foliage.

This one is relatively tame looking in this photograph right? However, they will take over grassland and crowd out all other diversity in a single unchecked growing season…
